Melbourne Photo Walk (n'food)

Howdy Peeps

Just a quick post to promote an upcoming photowalk this weekend. Each month I get together a bunch of people with camera's and lead them (or let them lead me) around an area in Melbourne to capture images of things/people and places that we encounter. So far it's been going pretty good... BUT It's gonna be better...

This walk is scheduled for a Saturday afternoon (to get a couple more hours of sunlight before it gets dark), there is a plan and a coolish name 'Melbourne Alleyway assault (Take 2) Photowalk'. We'll be meeting at Melbourne Central under the golden clock that used to (may even still) play tacky music on the hour at 4:30pm. From there we're gonna head out and get into a number of cool alleyways for a couple of hours with a focus on street art and anything cool we come across. After walking and wearing out our shutter finger we'll finish off the evening with food / beverages before parting ways.

Multiplicity - Take 2

I couldn't resist, I had alot of fun playing with duplicating myself once, here goes doing it twice in one image. I'm learning alot about blending a number of images together in one composite image - haven't done anything like this before. Next I'll have to recreate one of those Agent Smith composite shots from the Matrix

Zoolander moment

I had a Zoolander moment as I caught my reflection in this window. There was a lot of smoke still in the air and the sunlight was really orange!

On the long train-ride home today (including a half hour wait at Footscray station) I had an overwhelming design to shoot a self portrait type shot that included multiple Nic's - here's the prototype: 

(I should have gotten my twin to come over and shot a four person one with two actual people who look very similar. I think I'll keep that idea for later)

The blog is back

The blog is back to share the stuff I'm doing week to week on photography related subjects. I've brought along a friend to keep me motivated and remind me when it's time to update the blog. I look forward to sharing more here soon.
